The new app enables you to control all your Google devices and allows you to cast any apps or stream media from mobile devices, tablets, computers, speakers, and televisions. You’re able to use your voice to search for contents by actor, TV show, and movie. You can also customize your TV screen with lovely pictures.

While implementing new changes and improvements, the app still saves the function of the former Google Cast which is also currently available on both the Google Play Store and iTunes store. Besides the new name, the app gets a new app icon designed by the shape of a house.

Latest Update: New Look and New Features

With a few new Google devices coming this week, a major upgrade is headed for the Google Home app, including new look design and a series of new features. Now the new version is smarter and more connected with a better way to organize things. Besides, users can start grouping things by category and area. Upgrade the app now to manage your house!

As for new features, the app is updated with two new tabs "Watch" and "Discover", with which you can search tons of supported apps and watch trending content and videos on apps like Netflix, HBO Now, and Youtube. With all features rolled into one, you can perform all the functions in one app at any time.
